Another exemplary example of GreeNexus work with the Houston Independent School District (HISD), Leland High School is a LEED Silver school. Gaining certification under the LEED 2009 v2 for Schools certification the project hit several major milestones on journey toward sustainability. Some of these include the use of no potable water used in irrigation as well as a general 50 percent reduction in potable water use. Additionally, the construction of the school used 20 percent regional materials and 20 percent recycled content. GreeNexus was theSustainability Consultant to the Contractor for this project.
