20 years of experience have built her strong background in sustainable design applied to commercial, residential, and industrial building projects in Colombia, the UK, the US, and Australia.  Angela has kept a close collaboration with GreeNexus as a Sustainability Consultant since 2013, where she has been involved in the project management and documentation of various LEED certifications among Schools, Core and Shell, Interior Design, and New Construction of “class A” commercial buildings in Texas and Panama. Angela also produces Life Cycle Assessments and provides assistance to building product trade organizations in the US seeking to develop Environmental Product Declarations. Currently she is exploring new areas of consulting around Health and Wellness in buildings and the WELL certification for the US and UK.

Angela brings a wide range of knowledge to GreeNexus as the founder of ARKEO D+C, a design and sustainability consulting firm based in London. She has experience aiding the retail industry and the government in Colombia and currently is a research member of the CIBSE Intelligent Buildings Group in the UK. Angela’s international exposure enables her to provide advice and find answers on local and international green building standards, codes, and practices, as well as various rating systems such as: LEED v4, Green Star, Passive House, and the Living Building Challenge.

As a designer in the UK, Angela has been responsible for developing schemes and coordinating technical information throughout the different stages of the RIBA Plan of Work for commercial, retail, mixed use, student accommodation, and residential projects in the South of the UK.

Her research efforts at the US Green Building Council produced educational material for the sustainability building workforce and events that brought public and private organizations together around green building issues in Houston. Angela has collaborated as visiting lecturer at the University College of London UCL, Middlesex University (UK), Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogota-Colombia), and the University of Nottingham (UK).


Angela has taken part as an international speaker at the International Concrete Sustainability Conference organized by NRMCA, the Institution of Structural Engineers, and the Building Research Establishment in London. Furthermore, Angela’s community service has taken her to serve as a docent for the Indonesian Heritage Society and the Museum Nasional in Jakarta, Indonesia.  Her corporate fund-raising efforts and community work were recognized by the Indonesian Red Cross in 2010.
