Becky is an enthusiastic and experienced advocate for sustainability and local community. During her Masters program concentrating in sustainable building, she researched and implemented programs aimed at helping low income housing residents save energy. This has been the foundation for her continued experience and expertise that has cumulated in her joining GreeNexus as a Sustainability Consultant.

Project management is a strong focus for Becky and she has developed and implemented a variety of programs that range from education to community outreach. At every opportunity, she is seeking ways to simplify and streamline processes in an effort to benefit clients.  Her improvement of LEED toolkits has allowed for a more efficient LEED documentation process that increases client satisfaction by decreasing client confusion and workload. Becky has also assisted in the certification of 9 LEED projects, including both v2009 and v4 for LEED for Schools, New Construction, and Commercial Interiors Additionally, she has experience in charrette facilitation and Green Communities Certification.

Becky’s expertise is not limited to LEED and green building certification. She also has extensive experience with the promotion of sustainable transportation options. Her bikeability and walkability programs have led to the funding of many city-wide infrastructure projects.

Finally, Becky is passionate about green roofs. Realizing the importance of mitigating heat island effects and providing habitat for local wildlife, Becky is currently seeking her green roof professional certification in an effort to better understand the intricacies of installing a vegetated roof. Her expertise allows her to inform clients of the sustainable and financial benefits to installing a green roof.
