Project Consultant for GreeNexus Consulting, Jaime Lawson has experience and a background that has given her a well-rounded understanding of building design. Jaime's experience has equipped her with an understanding of all phases of design and a thorough knowledge of environmentally responsible materials and finishes. Jaime’s passion in sustainable building and design practices is being advanced through her current work with GreeNexus Consulting, where she has developed a thorough understanding of commercial Green Building projects and the process of obtaining LEED Certification as well as the Living Building Challenge. Her duties include investigation of materials and requirements, research, selection, documentation of green building strategies, and construction phase project coordination. Additionally, Jaime has experience assisting with design phase LEED items including site analysis for walkability and access to public transportation, measurement for daylighting and views, and review of project specifications.

In 2010, Jaime graduated with Honors from the Art Institute of Dallas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. Throughout her college career, she worked directly with the industry and received architecture and interior design experience from a variety of working professionals in various project types. 

Jaime has immersed herself in the Green Building Community by volunteering with a multitude of local organizations. She worked as a Volunteer Intern at the City of Houston Green Building Resource Center, where she assisted with set up and display of sustainable building material samples and literature, and assisted local building professionals by guiding them throughout the Resource Center.  She is a former committee member of the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of USGBC Emerging Professionals, where she served as the Houston Green Film Series liaison. Currently, she is coordinating with local community members and industry professionals to form an educational non-profit which aims to bring tiny houses and tiny house communities to the City of Houston.
