GreeNexus: A Year in Review

Before we ring in the new year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on all of the adventures, experiences, and changes the last year has brought.

2019 was a year of change and growth here at GreeNexus. Throughout this last year, four new team members have joined the GreeNexus family, and we are ecstatic to be able to bring new and further refined capabilities to our clients as a result of our new employees’ knowledge, expertise, and certification qualifications. Additionally, GreeNexus is proud to announce that we now offer our services for a diverse array of sustainability and green certification programs including: SITES, WELL, FITWEL, and AEGB alongside LEED.

In 2019, GreeNexus was awarded a distinction for working on ten projects that achieved LEED Platinum status. This distinction tops a distinguished LEED history for the firm, with nearly 90 projects and 8 million square feet of space constructed within the LEED framework. In October, GreeNexus was also presented the University of Houston Cougar 100 Award, which spotlights the top 100 fastest growing companies owned by University of Houston alumi. We were ranked 52nd this year, a 48-position increase from our previous ranking in 2018.

Last, but definitely not least, the end of 2019 saw the opening of GreeNexus’ second office, located in Austin, Texas and the completion of our first two Austin-based projects--both of which were awarded LEED Gold.

We here at GreeNexus are looking forward to the new year and are excited to see what new projects, certifications, clients, and team members await.
